Chapter 1.2: You Will Meet a Talk Dark Stranger

Last time:  Celeste—new in starlight Shores—is trying to find a job, friends and love.  She had just finished talking to Seth, a man she thinks might make a great legacy mate.

The women in yellow—Karen, a friendly acquittance of Celeste—approches her after she had finished exchanging numbers with Seth and said farewell.

To Celeste's surprise Karen came over to tell her that her new found interest, Seth, has been flirting with Holly Robins lately and getting involved with him might be messy.

Celeste thanked Karen for giving her the heads up about Seth, who is apparently a love rat.  Celeste is pleased that she met someone that she can trust in her new town.

That night, after returning home, Celeste decide to start to touch up on her creative skills if she was going to go ahead with finding a job in the Architectural career.

While her love life had hit a snag, her career was still in its beginning.  She hit up the newspaper as soon as it hit her doorstep and found in the job section: APPRENTICE ARCHITECT WANTED.  She rang up the number attached and she was to start the next day.

Celeste thought of her career not as an architect but a house stylist or a interior designer.  She has a natural flare for decorating houses.

She was so excited about her new found job that she rang up her new friend Karen and told her all about it.  She was very happy for Celeste.

That night she couldn't stop thinking about her new job that she would be starting the next morning.

Celeste's very first job just had to be for the richest people in town the Buckshots. She was so nervous and couldn't believe that they assigned her this job first.

Madeline Buckshot, her client, didn't like the job that she did.  But, that's okay, Celeste thought,  her dodgy lip injections looked horrible, and her cow skin vet was just as cringe worthy.  All she could do was try again at the next job.

Her next job for the day was for a client called Mitch Lee. He wanted new doors and windows in his house.

Mr Lee was grateful for the work Celeste did, but was not over the moon about her designing.  At least she was improving, she thought.

While her career was on the rise, Celeste's house was also beginning to expand.

That night Celeste went out on the town, hoping to meet some new people and hopefully Mr Right.

She jumped up and had a go at the karaoke that was going on in the club.

But unfortunately, she did not impress.

Later on in the night the owner of the club stepped Celeste aside and asked her if she was the architectthat redecorated Mitch Lee's house that day.  She told him she was.

He mentioned to Celeste that Dr Lee recommended her and that one of his rich clients that frequently comes in to the club needed an architect. Celeste thought it was a great opportunity to improve in her career and agree to meet with this client.

Celeste was about to head home as it was pretty late, until she saw a man sitting at the local ice-creamery and was drawn to him instantly, even though she wasn't a big fan of blonds.

Celeste wasn't scared to approach the man and greeted him straight away.  His name was Carl McMurphy.  Melonie Buckshot, Celeste's bitchy client, is ironically in the background snubbing Celeste.  Celeste ignored her.

Carl was a great person to chat to.  He was really interested in her line of work.  He was a successful proprietor himself.

His favourite colour was also Spice Brown like hers.  During this conversation Celeste also discovered that Carl was friendly in his nature.

Celeste built up enough courage to ask if he was single and what his star sign was.  He was single and a Pieces, which Celeste really liked.

All of a sudden Carl had an important fishing trip to attend and just up and left.

Celeste and her neurotic self had a melt down.  She never got his number.

Did she just let the man of her dreams slip out of her hands?

  1. Poor Celeste! I'm sure this won't be the last she'll see of Carl, especially with the new attraction system. She might even get random phone calls from men just *dying* to get a piece of her, lol!

Interior design suits her. :) It's a tough career to do well in, but it's challenging!
